Parents should begin planning for college even at the elementary level as you establish good study habits at home and talk about future plans and how God has gifted each child with unique abilities for His purpose in this world.

Should children need guidance in an area, parents should contact the school office. Mrs. Moore has a masters degree in counseling and is available to assist in guidance needs.

Secondary Guidance

At the secondary level (grades 6-12), parents and children should begin making plans for college and their interest in a future career in order that they complete the necessary high school course.  Our Assistant Administrator provides college and career guidance to the high school students. Each year juniors and seniors are given the opportunity to complete a local internship for a week in January in a field of their interest to see if this is an area that God might be directing them.

High School Requirements for Graduation

Students in 10th and 11th grades are required to take the PSAT in October during the school week at Faith Christian Academy. Students in 8th and 9th grades have the option of taking this as a practice for their upcoming test. The PSAT is a preliminary test to the SAT. The SAT is given throughout the year at local high schools. You can see this year’s schedule of SAT and register online at
