New Head of School

New Head of School

Thursday, May 17, 2018

Dear FCA Families,

As always in God's Providential Hand, He has faithfully led Faith Christian Academy over the years in various transitions and needs.  Once again He has shown His faithfulness to our school.  As Mr. Devers communicated to the school board two years ago of his intention to retire, we have been anticipating the change.  We are so very grateful that he remained to help us through accreditation this spring.  We are also grateful that he will still be around this ministry some this next year.  His heart's desire is to continue to serve Christ both at his church and at this school.

In December we began the search for a new Head of School.  We were blessed to receive eleven applicants for the position.  The resumes were narrowed to four candidates which a Board committee then interviewed and narrowed to two candidates to bring before the school board.  These candidates were interviewed by the entire board.  We are thankful that God was faithfully leading the way long before we made the decision so that following the interview process, the Board was in unanimous agreement in selecting Mr. Scott Bose.

Mr. Scott Bose is currently employed at Liberty University in the Department of Behavioral Sciences.  It was two years ago, that God led his family back to the United States after serving overseas in three different International Christian schools in three different countries as their administrator/head of school.  Mr. Bose is currently working on his Educational Specialist Degree having completed his Master's Degree in Administration and Supervision.  He has a passion for Christian education and loves being involved in school leadership and partnering with families and teachers.

Mr. Bose will be around on occassion for a few school activities this spring to connect with teachers and school families.  His wife teaches in the education department at Liberty Universtiy and she too, has a passion for Christian education.  They have three chidren - two in elementary, and one in high school.

Please indtroduce yourself to Mr. Bose when you see him as we welcome him to our school community.  His official responsibilities as the Head of School will begin in July.  We are grateful for God's leading and preparation in this transition.

Because of Christ,

Joey Bray

Board President
