Elementary
At Faith Christian Academy we teach standard academic subjects as well as Christian values and beliefs. Our goal is to provide students with a well-rounded and enriching educational experience that teaches both the mind and the heart.
Character building is an essential part of the FCA experience. We emphasize positive character qualities while encouraging students to live out their faith in everyday actions. Through a Christ-centered approach, we aim to prepare students not only for academic success but also for a life of purpose, service, and integrity.
1. Curriculum and Academics
Students in the elementary program at Faith Christian Academy study core subjects including math, science, language arts, and social studies, alongside classes centered on the Bible. Faith is deeply woven into the learning experience at FCA, with Biblical principles and values integrated into the instruction of all subjects, extending beyond Biblical studies. Our academic programs are rigorous, and our exceptional teachers are available to support their students. The curriculum is designed to foster critical thinking and creativity, preparing students for lifelong learning and success.
2. Class Activities
Classroom activities are essential because they actively engage students in the learning process, helping to reinforce concepts and develop critical thinking skills. By involving students in a variety of hands-on and interactive experiences, these activities allow learners to apply what they have been taught in meaningful ways. Classroom activities include memory verse recitations, group projects, arts and crafts, science experiments, educational field trips and more. Together, these varied activities help reinforce what the students are learning and promote a well-rounded education that supports intellectual, social, and spiritual growth.
3. Environment and Culture
Faith Christian Academyβs elementary school culture is centered around creating a safe and nurturing, faith-based environment where students feel secure and supported academically, socially, and spiritually. Emphasis is placed on developing and recognizing strong Christian values such as kindness, respect, integrity, and responsibility. The school encourages a love of learning through engaging, hands-on activities and personalized instruction, ensuring each childβs unique gifts are recognized and cultivated. Collaboration between teachers, parents, and students creates a close-knit community focused on academic excellence and spiritual growth.
4. Extracurricular Activities
Faith Christian Academy offers students the opportunity to join athletics teams beginning in 5th grade, as well as participate in music programs. In addition to regular classroom instruction, students attend special classes including art, music, computer, physical education, and library. Kindergarten through 5th grade students also take part in the annual Christmas program and the Spring Concert, providing a well-rounded educational and extracurricular experience.
5. Teachers and Staff
Teachers and staff at Faith Christian Academy strive to serve as Christian role models, guiding students not only academically but also spiritually. They provide a supportive environment where students are encouraged to discuss their faith and any challenges they might face. Teachers are certified through our accrediting agency, ACSI. Additionally, all staff and faculty are CPR and first aid certified, ensuring the safety and well-being of every student.
