chapel

All FCA students have chapel every Friday, they will hear from local pastors, youth leaders and missionaries as well as our staff and faculty. At the beginning of chapel, we will spend time worshiping together singing praise and worship songs. Each class will have the opportunity to lead chapel and present Scripture memory verses, perform skits, and/or songs.

The preschool and elementary classes have special chapel programs throughout the year for Grandparents Day, Missions Chapel, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Chapel. Chapel is a time to come together in praise, worship, and learning.

The FCA upper school students, grades 6-12, also meet together on Fridays to worship. Upper school has a separate chapel time from preschool and elementary. We have the opportunity to hear from special speakers that are invited to share God’s truths and challenge students to help them grow spiritually.

Servant Leadership

Our students follow Jesus’ example of Christian service. We roll up our sleeves and help our neighbor. Community service hours are required in middle and high school, giving them opportunities to focus outwardly on helping the world around them and being a part of their community.

Each year, the FCA student body helps put together a Thanksgiving Luncheon for local widows and widowers. This community event has been an amazing way for our students to connect with others and provide meaningful service through acts of kindness and hospitality. From setting tables and serving meals to offering conversations and smiles, our students learn the joy of giving back during the holiday season. It is a long running and cherished tradition that reflects our commitment to cultivating compassion and community engagement in our students.

Feed the Need is a newer service project to FCA, but we are so excited to be partnering with this nonprofit to send meals to those in need overseas. As a school, we come together and pack 10,000 meals with vital nutrients that will be shipped to refugee camps in Bangladesh. The students help alongside their teachers to package the ingredients, measure and weigh the bags, seal them, and pack them in boxes. It's a hands-on experience that teaches students the impact of teamwork, generosity, and global compassion.

Mission Trips

At FCA, we believe that both overseas and stateside mission trips are essential in shaping young hearts to serve and love others. These experiences play a vital role in developing compassion, humility, and a global perspective. Participating in missions helps students to see beyond themselves and understand the needs of the communities around them. Past mission trips have included destinations such as Puerto Rico, Guatemala, Florida, North Carolina, and Georgia, each offering opportunities to make a lasting impact while growing in faith and service. We look forward to planning more mission trips soon.
